Beth Pfohl joined CBWNY's faculty as a costumer in 2004 and as a teacher the following year. Born in Buffalo, Beth graduated from West Seneca East High School and SUNY Delhi. She trained in ballet at Royal Dance Theatre with Bernadine Demike and Royal Academy of Ballet with Ginger Burke. She was a member of Buffalo Ballet Theater under the direction of Gregory Drotar and Barry Leon. This year she teaches Adult Ballet, and has also taught various levels of ballet and pointe. Miss Beth has been a part of the dance community in Buffalo for several years and has taught at many dance schools around WNY. Along with teaching, Beth is a professional seamstress and has built many of our costumes for our productions, some of which include A Midsummer Nights Dream, Raymonda and many in The Nutcracker.​

In her free time, Beth loves reading and going to libraries, sewing (apart from her costuming work), visiting art galleries and museums, and attending musicals such as The Music Man and Hello Dolly. She also enjoys bookkeeping, and is a Bills, Sabres, and Texas Rangers fan.

 

 

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for dance students?

A: Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something/anything. They don't know what you're made of. They don't know what's in your heart.

A: Swan Lake, Giselle, and Raymonda

​

​Q: What is one thing you wish you could learn how to do?

A: Be more proficient in jazz, tap, modern and contemporary dance.
