Emily Ruth is from Lockport, NY, and joined CBWNY as a student in 2015. She attended the University at Buffalo where she earned her BA in Management Information Systems. As a dance student, she took classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, and Jazz. She also has a background in musical theatre, tap, contemporary, and ballroom. Emily joined our staff in 2018, and this year teaches tap and jazz. She has also taught ballet, pointe.

Emily is a national and international competitive ballroom dancer. Styles she studies and performs in include Latin, Standard, American Smooth, Rhythm, and other social dances.

In addition to her work in dance, she also works at Citigroup Global Markets as a trader in the stock market.
​
Emily loves her pets; a dog named Koda and a cat named Smokey. In her free time she enjoys making and decorating costumes, hiking with her dog, reading on her balcony, and playing the piano.
